This person will be the lead teacher Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday for a class of 14 students who have turned 3 by September 1st.  On Thursday and Friday, this teacher will oversee a mixed age group class of no more than seven 3s and 4s.  This teacher will be responsible for planning weekly with a seasoned PreK4 teacher, and working daily with a full-time teaching assistant. Three strands of the early childhood curriculum begin in this classroom:  Zoo Phonics, Handwriting Without Tears, and Everyday Mathematics.  Degree required.

PreK3 Assistant

This is a part-time position assisting the PreK3 Teacher in a class of 14 on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday.  The Assistant is the second set of hands in a classroom of students who must be 3 before September 1st.  The Teacher directs the Assistant in daily activities which can include making copies, laminating, pre-cutting, preparing art projects, accompanying students to specials (art, music, motor development), and assisting with snack, lunch, outdoor learning, and nap-time.  The Assistant does not have planning or conferencing responsibilities but is required to attend all special activities and performances.
