SPRING 2014 EXTRACURRICULAR CLASSES

14 SESSIONS, JANUARY 20 – MAY 8

There will be NO classes the week of March 10 – 14th or the week of April 21 – 25th

**The Saint Stephen’s Church Children’s Choir Schedule remains as in the Fall Semester:

Mondays, 4:00 – 4:30 p.m.   Melody Makers,  K – 2nd 

Mondays, 4:30 – 5:15 p.m.    Celebration Singers, 3rd – 5th

 **After-school care until choir begins will be $6 for Melody Makers & $8 for Celebration Singers with pick-up when each Choir ends.  The Saint Stephen’s Church Children’s program is a mission of Saint Stephen’s Episcopal Church and there is no charge to participate in this program. 

Monday Offering

Young Masters Art:  Lori Jeter extends art experiences for our older students, Grades 3 – 5th.  Students will explore a variety of techniques and materials that will encourage exploration of their creative expression.  Students should bring a light snack and beverage for themselves.  Students may transition to Extended Care and on to Celebration Singers after this class without charge. 

Tuesday Offerings

Beginning Guitar:  Roger Smith will introduce the guitar to 3rd – 5th Graders.  Each student should bring their own instrument.  There will be a very limited number of guitars to borrow for each session. 

Kids in the Kitchen:  Lynda Edone, former St. Stephen’s teacher, will explore new foods and new twists on old favorites as she combines instruction of celebrations and special traditions.  By the end of the class, students will have a cookbook to take home.  This class is open to students in PreK – 2nd Grade. 

Wednesday Offering

Amazing Science:  The Not So Creepy Critters team of Miss Jill, Courtney, and Erik Honer, will be back at St. Stephen’s to share their love of science and “not so creepy critters.”  This class will be offered for the first time to our younger students, PreK – 2nd Grade.

Thursday Offering  **Beginning on Thursday, January 9th

Archery:  Coach Val Jeter will work with the archers in Grades 3 – 5 planning to compete on the St. Stephen’s Archery Team in March as they continue to develop their skills and precision.
